BOTOX® Cosmetic sometimes called a "facelift in a bottle" is a purified protein. When small doses are injected directly into the muscles, impulses from the nerves to the injected muscle causing the wrinkles are blocked, allowing them to relax. This relaxing of the muscle allows the skin to smooth out persistent lines which developed over time.

JUVEDERM®
Juvederm®, a hyaluronic acid, is a complex sugar already naturally found in the body. It has become the favored compound for replenishing the areas of the face that have experienced loss of fullness and volume. In the body, hyaluronic acid fills the space between collagen and elastin fibers of skin; attracting and binding water, hydrating and giving the skin smoothness and volume. As the body ages, the ability of the bodies cells to manufacture its own hyaluronic acid is diminished, resulting in loss of volume and producing wrinkles and folds.
Juvederm® is biosynthetic and of non animal origin. Juvederm® is gradually absorbed naturally into the body. Common treatment areas include nasolabial folds, forehead wrinkles, glabellar lines and to plump lips. Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. Your provider may choose to use a cold pack or anesthetic cream to numb the area. I will also offer dental blocks to those preferring additional anesthetic while treating the lip area.
